In legal terms Dark Karma™ is a parent company to other trademarks like Dark Karma Gaming™. In more open terms Dark Karma™ is a private community for individuals to come together and game, chat, learn, and so much more. We love hosting, coding, gaming, and even making games. We hope to even release our own game before too much longer.

We only recently trademarked our name. However our group of friends and even our name go back to late 2010, early 2011 where Dark Karma Gaming™ was created for a Minecraft server. From there a passion for hosting and gaming grew into a steam community in January of 2014. Long story short we ended up growing into what you see today.

Dark Karma™ hosts a private discord community that links members to other services we offer. Services like our game servers for DK members to enjoy. The goal is to create a private community of vetted members that provide a reliable and clean gaming experience for everyone to enjoy. An oasis if you will. We also plan to release our games to these members first before anyone else get's a crack at them.

When it comes to hired team members we expect what any company does. On time, capable employees that work hard. Unlike most companies we do not place your job over your family. Your loved ones are just as important as an income to feed them and we understand that better than anyone. When life comes up, know Dark Karma™ stands with you. As a staff member or other voluntary positions like chat moderators, we expect you to be professional and act accordingly. You are representing the company as a whole. While voluntary positions need to be taken seriously, they are not paid jobs and as such have no real demands or requirements beyond being polite and professional.

No, we are not outright hiring. Currently we are a team of just two, and while we are looking to get a development team started we don't expect people to work for free. This is why we have went with a limited hiring process in which we can offer a spot to a select few. These folks would get a contract and would end up taking a cut of the final sales made on projects. This will change once we are able to afford paying development teams by the hour.

No. We have never charged and never will charge to access our services. We will continue to do this free of charge, forever, no strings attached.

We don't, mainly we lose money each month. While we do sell things in our Vault, this community was never started for profit and we never will change that. This entire thing started as two kids who wanted to launch a Minecraft server that didn't have abusive admins and constant advertisement to buy things. From there it just never stopped and kept expanding into more servers until what you see today. Like many communities, you can visit our Vault to purchase cosmetic things and bragging rights. Unlike other communities you won't see advertisements for it, and we never sell things that give members an edge over other members. Put simply we don't worry about recovering costs. Whether we break even or sink our savings into the ground. Our concern will be keeping Dark Karma an Oasis among communities. Forever a place to come and relax with others who just get it.

We sell subscriptions as well as digital packages that give our community members extra benefits on our discord server and other gaming servers.

Benefits include but are not limited to; cosmetic things like discord tags/roles, as well as in game titles, and access to VIP areas like discord rooms.

Tiered Memberships are subscriptions that contain several benefits across multiple servers. Rather than having to buy several individual packages to our game servers, you can buy 1 package and get benefits to multiple game servers that you play on. These Memberships come in two forms. The first are one time purchases that will expire after the advertised time. The second one is a subscription based package that will renew every 3 months or advertised time.

A VIP Membership is a specific set of benefits for a specific gaming server. An example of that would be the Minecraft VIP [Bronze] membership. That package contains benefits just for our Minecraft server and are a bronze tier. Each game server will have ranks of VIP memberships, each increasing in price and perks. VIP Memberships can be obtained by winning giveaways on our discord server (no purchase necessary), purchasing VIP Memberships, Tiered Memberships, or through redeeming karma points.

When in checkout you will be given a spot to add extra details. Make sure to add anything relevent to your purchase. For instance, if you are buying a Minecraft package you should tell us the username you use on our server so we can promote you. If you forget to leave out details please contact our payment department with those details at payments@dkgaming.us within 48 hours or we will cancel your order and refund it.

Once you've completed your transaction a bot or staff member will assign your ranks / benefits. This will happen immediately after we receive notification and proper details of your purchase. If you leave out needed information we will attempt to contact you at your purchase email. Failure to collect needed information within 48 hours will result in your order being canceled and refunded.

There isn't one. We don't make games, host servers, or code for profit or motive. We do it because we love and want to. It's that simple. We strongly believe that games, projects, or anything you do should be done from a place of passion. Otherwise you end up with a washed down product that never really inspires anything.

To keep costs down. The bigger we grow the more it costs us to run everything. Selling cosmetics and quality of life services allows us to do things we couldn't on our own. We also find more and more members asking for a way to donate or support us further. We can't think of a better way than keeping the community we all love alive and growing.
